In just a matter of days, Taylor Swift will be bringing her record-breaking Eras Tour to Scotland.

The global superstar will be performing three consecutive shows at Edinburgh's massive Murrayfield Stadium between June 7 and June 9. Hundreds of thousands of fans from across the country and beyond are set to flock to the Scottish capital to see Swift perform.

Speaking to the Daily Record last year, she described Scotland as a “really special place” which she’s connected to through both of her parents. Taylor said: “Scotland is a really special place for me." She added: "My dad is super proud of our Scottish heritage he told me that pretty much most of our family can be traced back to Scotland so of course it’s obviously very cool for me to get to perform there as part of the tour.”

In preparation for the highly anticipated Edinburgh concerts, VisitScotland has revealed "some specially tailored ideas for an exciting Scottish holiday in Edinburgh and beyond". The tourism board has put together a list of 13 ideas for days out across the city and Scotland inspired by the beloved singer.

Included on VisitScotland's roundup is a visit to Maison de Moggy, Scotland’s first cat café. As Swift fans will know, the singer is a big fan of felines and often makes references to them in her music.

Maison de Moggy is a bright and relaxed venue home to eight cats that serves up tea, coffee, and cakes. The café is described by VisitScotland as a "cosy, homely café experience where customers can relax in feline company whilst enjoying the purr-fect cuppa".

Elsewhere, the tourism organisation singled out Edinburgh's literary heritage. With Swift known for referencing various poets and authors, a tour of the city's wealth of independent bookshops and museums is the perfect way to prepare for the Eras Tour.

Among the standouts mentioned by VisitScotland are The Scottish Poetry Library, the Scottish Storytelling Centre, and The Writer’s Museum. Meanwhile, in terms of stores, the cosy and family-run Armchair Books is a must-visit.

VisitScotland also recommends checking out Edinburgh's gardens and parks in bloom, stating: "With the numerous references to colours in Taylor’s music — each era of course has a different colour — we think Edinburgh’s parks and gardens would be right up her street."

The city features a wealth of idyllic green spaces, from the lovely Princes Street Gardens to the secluded 'hidden gem' garden tucked away in the Royal Mile. With Swift heading to Scotland just in time for the start of summer, a trip to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh comes especially recommended.
