Edith Bowman shares spine-tingling pic showing how she recovered after surgery
Edith Bowman has gushed over the technique she used to recover after surgery - and revealed the handy therapy that can be used for other conditions too. The Scottish radio host started on television as a newsreader on MTV and as a host for Channel 4 morning music channel RI:SE before hosting her own BBC Radio 1 show.
Recently, radio legend Edith has shared more personal content online covering lifestyle, health, parenting, and her love of skincare treatments, reports the Mirror.
The 50-year-old shared a post on how she uses acupuncture to improve her health and wellbeing, posting a gruesome-looking snap of her with needles stuck into various points of her face.

Another photo on the post sees her under a lamp, with the acupuncture needles still in her skin. Combining acupuncture with heat or UVB light therapy can help to increase blood flow in affected areas, which is said to increase the efficiency of traditional acupuncture.
Edith gushed about the treatment and wrote: "I can’t explain how much I get from my acupuncture sessions with @m.c.martinacu. I don’t get to see her as often as I would like, I think May was the last time I had my last session.
"Acupuncture is such a wonderful treatment that has helped me with so many things, from hay fever to recovery from surgery to just resetting my brain and system.
"You can’t see the numerous other needles that are all over my body. She can read what you need and nothing makes me feel like I do after one of her sessions. Thank you, Magic Maggie, you are a special gift to me and the world."
Fans were intrigued by Edith's post and wanted to know more, as one asked: "Helps with hay fever? I’m sold, do you have to get it just before or during hayfever season." Another follower didn't know what to make of the snaps, exclaiming: "What on EARTH is that an image of??"
A third Instagram user echoed her love of the treatment, adding: "I also have acupuncture regularly and it’s astonishing how fabulous you feel after - it’s helped with grief, sleep, restless legs and also I’ve recently had facial acupuncture sessions to stimulate collagen production - can’t recommend it enough."
Another fan agreed with Edith, writing: "I LOVE acupuncture and cupping which I have for both pain management, sleep and stress management."
