A motorcyclist has died after being ploughed into by a car in Edmonton.

Police and paramedics were scrambled to the scene in Great Cambridge Road on Saturday afternoon.

They arrived to find the young man, believed to be in his 20s, suffering head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

Emergency services were called to reports of a crash between a motorcycle and a car at about 2pm.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene. He has not been arrested, police said.
