Edmonton Ice Hockey Stadium Damaged by Flooding as NHL Season Restart Nears

Officials at Rogers Place ice hockey stadium in Edmonton, Alberta, said the building suffered water damage in a storm on July 16, but it would not hamper plans to host the NHL as the pro hockey season restarted during the summer.

A statement on the Rogers Place Twitter account said it was assessing the damage and “at this time are confident that it will not hamper our planning and preparation and we will be ready to host the return of NHL hockey as hub city.”
