'Education has been an afterthought throughout the pandemic'

Labour shadow schools minister has questioned whether schools are being prioritised by the Government. Wes Streeting said Labour are really concerned that the government "haven't set out what criteria they'll use to judge when schools can safely reopen to all pupils" adding "there isn't even a plan of action to make schools as safe as possible, as soon as possible". The Labour MP said "this is where the government has failed...education has been an afterthought throughout the pandemic". .
