EE Customers Can Now Get BT Sport For Free

EE pay monthly customers are now able to get six months of BT Sport for free, simply by sending a text message.

Users can get access to the BT Sport app, which includes live action across all of BT Sport’s channels, by texting SPORT to 150 from their EE handset.

The deal for sports fans is the result of BT’s acquisition of EE earlier this year.

Users will be able to watch BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, BT Sport Europe and ESPN for six months completely free of charge, by downloading the free BT Sport iOS or Android app.

After the six-month offer is up, users will be charged £5 a month for the service and will need to actively opt out at the end of the free period if they want to cancel and avoid any fees.

“As the UK’s biggest and fastest network, we’re always looking at ways to allow our customers to get the most out of their network experience,” said Marc Allera, CEO at EE.

“The BT Sport offer is the first in a series of benefits we’ve planned for this summer which together will highlight EE as offering an unrivalled network experience for those wanting to make the best from their smartphone.”

BT Sport coverage includes every match in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League, 42 Premier League matches, the FA Cup and the Scottish Professional Football League.

Rugby fans will get to watch Aviva Premiership games and European Rugby Champions Cup matches.

The service also includes UFC, NBA basketball, MLB baseball, MotoGP.

Along with live coverage and catch-up services, the BT Sport app also includes extra video clips, fixtures, results and league tables.
