<p>A determined dog called Stella was cheered along as she repeatedly tried to retrieve a floating toy that was stuck in tidal waters.<br></p><p>Footage shows beagle-like Stella's owner encouraging her onto steps leading to the water to retrieve a toy that's floating just out of reach.</p><p>A large audience of onlookers quickly gathered on the waterfront in Halifax, Canada, and cheered her on with "oohs" and "aahs" as she narrowly misses the chew toy at every attempt.</p><p>But Stella endured the constant near misses but refused to give up until, with the massive cheer from the crowd, she eventually managed to bite onto the bright-purple toy.</p><p>The crowd of onlookers, who were rooting for the pooch the whole time, gave it a well-deserved round of applause as its owner Trish rewarded Stella with a treat.</p><p>The video has racked up over six million views on TikTok with over one million likes on top of that.</p><p>The filmer said: "It was beautiful. Especially after the last few years it was nice to see everyone to come together to cheer for the doggie.</p><p>"It warmed my heart. Figured it would get others too. The dog's name is Stella. Her owner's name is Trish. I hope Trish gets to see this." <br></p>
