Eight fire engines battling wildfire at Chobham Common
Eight fire engines are currently tackling a massive wildfire on Chobham Common.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service were called to the fire at 12.25pm and crews remain on scene battling the blaze.
A SFRS spokesperson said: “We received a call this afternoon around 12.25pm to a report of a fire on Chobham Common.
“Eight fire engines were sent alongside multiple specialist vehicles, with the first arriving at the scene around 12.35pm. Approximately 5-10 hectares of undergrowth were alight.
“Crews remain at the scene tackling the fire.”

Surrey Police are also in attendance and assisting with road closures.
In a tweet SFRS asked that those in Chobham common "please evacuate the area immediately for your safety".
The heath fire appears could be seen erupting behind golfers who were waiting to play off during day three of The Rose Ladies Series on The West Course at Wentworth Golf Club.
Those nearby have reported seeing huge plumes of smoke.
Sky sports presenter Rebecca Williams tweeted: "Dramatic pictures at Wentworth golf course, as a massive fire breaks out. Play suspended."
