Elderly homeowner disturbs balaclava-clad burglars in Beechwood property before cash and card stolen
A pair of balaclava-clad burglars pushed a pensioner while raiding an elderly couple's home.
Police are investigating the burglary which saw the couple’s Middlesbrough home targeted. Cleveland Police said a bank card and cash were stolen from the Cavendish Road, Beechwood property, on Saturday, January 25.
A force spokesperson said: "Sometime between around 7pm and 7.45pm on Saturday (25th January) one of the householders disturbed two men in an upstairs bedroom. The men who were dressed all in black and wearing balaclavas pushed the occupant out of the way, before fleeing in an unknown direction."

Officers from Middlesbrough CID are investigating the incident and would ask anyone with information, doorbell, dashcam or CCTV which could assist their ongoing enquiries to get in touch. Contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref 014461.
