Elderly man fighting for his life after being hit by own vehicle

A pensioner has been left critically injured following a tragic incident where he was hit by his own Vauxhall Mokka after it was propelled backward by the force of a collision with a BMW in Salford. The accident, which took place on Park Lane in Broughton Park, happened Friday afternoon, with emergency services called to the scene at roughly 12:50 pm.

The elderly man, who is in his 70s, sustained serious injuries deemed potentially fatal and authorities are now appealing for witnesses. Greater Manchester Police are keen to gather more information and have requested that anyone who may have observed the crash or possesses any relevant footage, such as from dashcams, mobile phones, or doorbell cameras, should come forward. reports the Manchester Evening News.

A GMP spokesman said: "Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage, from the area in the moments leading up to the collision."
