Elemental finally confirms Disney+ release date
Elemental's Disney+ release date has finally been confirmed.
The latest film from animation studio Pixar was released back in June, and was launched digitally on streaming platforms last month.
Disney+ users will be able to watch the movie very soon, with the streamer confirming that Elemental will launch on the platform next week on Wednesday, September 13.

Elemental is set in a society where beings made out of elements live together, and focuses on fire-being Ember (Leah Lewis) and water-being Wade (Mamoudou Athie) as they begin to fall in love and their cultures clash.
The movie debuted to mixed reviews when it was released, and made an initially muted splash at the box office too – earning Pixar's lowest-ever opening weekend debut with $29.5 million. However, it went on to make a decent $480 million at the global box office throughout its run.
Around the time of the movie's release, Pixar boss Pete Docter reflected on the studio's strategy of releasing its movies straight to Disney+ during the COVID-19 pandemic, suggesting it has caused issues and "trained audiences that these films will be available for you on Disney+".

"It’s more expensive for a family of four to go to a theater when they know they can wait and it’ll come out on the platform," he told Variety.
"We’re trying to make sure people realize there’s a great deal you’re missing by not seeing it on the big screen. In the case of Elemental, it’s a beautiful spectacle, there’s detail everywhere. I think you feel it more and it’s a better experience.
"There’s the shared experience as well, that you get to see it in a room with strangers, and there’s something about the energy that comes from other people that makes the whole experience more vibrant and interesting."
Elemental will stream on Disney+ from September 13.
