Elementary School Students in Western Georgia Create Mural to Honor Veterans Day

Students at Union Elementary School in Temple, Georgia, collaborated to create a mural to pay tribute to former members of the US armed forces for Veterans Day.

This timelapse footage shows fifth-grade students creating the mural over the space of an hour on November 8, the school said.

The students presented their artwork – a blue US on a red-and-white-striped background, with the words “Land of the Free Because of the Brave” on it – to veterans in a celebration on Friday, and Union Elementary School said it planned to hang the mural in its hallways as a tribute to veterans.
