Elephant and Other National Zoo Residents Enjoy DC Snowstorm

Animals at Smithsonian’s National Zoo were seen reacting to winter weather on January 3 as a storm dropped over a foot of snow in parts of the Washington, DC, area.

The storm led to widespread power outages and trapped numbers of motorists overnight on Interstate 95 in Virginia.
