Eleven in hospital after South West mini bus crash
Eleven people have been taken to hospital after a minibus and van crashed. The A342 Monument Hill in Wiltshire has been closed in both directions since the collision, which took place at around 11.45am today (Thursday, January 9) and is expected to be closed for several more hours.
Wiltshire Police say an Urchfront Community minibus and a Heritage Fine Foods van were involved. Eleven people, in their 50s to 90s, have been taken to hospital. It is unknown how many were in the minibus at the time but no one is believed to be in a life threatening condition, Wiltshire Police said.
The force's Serious Collison Investigation Team are at the scene tonight carrying out crash investigation work. The A342 is not expected to reopen until after midnight.

Wiltshire Police are now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision. The force said in a statement: "We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A342 this morning (09/01) between a van and a community minibus.
"At around 11.45am, the Urchfont Community minibus was involved in a collision with a Heritage Fine Foods van on the A342 Monument Hill, near Stert. Eleven people aging from their 50s to 90s have been taken to hospital to be treated for varying levels of injury. None are currently thought to be in a life-threatening condition.
"The Serious Collision Investigation Team are currently at the scene carrying out collision investigation work. The road remains closed in both directions and isn’t expected to reopen until past midnight. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
"Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01225 694597 or by emailing SCIT@wiltshire.police.uk, quoting log 114 of today’s date."
