Elizabeth Hurley has responded to those who criticised her for posing in an almost-topless snowy snap believing the photos had been taken by her teenage son.

One of her detractors included Piers Morgan, who on Good Morning Britain branded the photos "creepy" and "thirsty".

Morgan had insinuated the pictures were taken by the model's 18-year-old son Damian. It comes after Hurley made comments in 2018 where she said he did take some of her pictures.

Following reports that Damian was responsible for the shoot that saw her pose out in the snow wearing just a fur jacket and bikini bottoms, she's clarified her 80-year-old mother was the photographer.

"Far be it for me to suggest the tabloids get their facts muddled, but these pics were in fact taken by my 80 year old mother.

"Not entirely sure if that puts minds at rest or not," she wrote on Twitter as she reposted the photos.

Morgan also laid into Hurley for posing topless at the age of 55, but his co-presenter Susanna Reid came to Hurley's defence at the time.

On Wednesday morning's GMB, Morgan addressed Hurley's response with a wry apology.

"I want to apologise to Liz Hurley after calling her thirsty," Morgan said before jibing that it is her job to "strip off".

"Loose Women had a go at me for criticising the way she looks, she looks fantastic, that’s not the argument. The point is that I inadvertently followed the newspaper lead that it was her son Damian… and he’s a photographer who she said regularly takes all her pictures.

"That would be really creepy. Getting your teenage son to take your topless pictures in the snow is creepy and weird," he opined.

He also went on to question Hurley's assertion that her mother took the photos before saying she had dug herself "an even bigger hole".
