Ellie Goulding was forced to deny that she’s expecting Prince Harry’s baby during a bizarre live TV interview.
Ellie was appearing on the Australian show, The Project, via video link to promote her new single which features on the Bridget Jones’ Baby soundtrack.
To start with, the hosts asked the 29-year-old who she relates to more out of Bridget and Anastasia – the leading lady in 50 Shades Of Grey, another film soundtrack that Ellie has featured on.
Thinking about it for a second, the singer replied: “I’m more of a Bridget really… Ideally neither.”
She continued: “I’m definitely more of a Bridget, especially in the latest film, she’s very relatable to me and drinks like a fish.”
To which the presenter cut in, asking: “You’re not having a baby, though? Just to be clear.“
"I’m not having a baby anytime soon,” Ellie replied.
Somewhat unexpectedly, the presenter then bluntly asked if she’s having Prince Harry’s baby.
“Not having a baby with Prince Harry either, yeah?” she said.
Handling it like a pro, the pop star laughed and said: “Please don’t make me go red. I’m bright red.
"Why did I have a feeling that was going to come up? Naughty people!”
The singer has been linked to Prince Harry since they first met at Prince William and the Duchess Of Cambridge’s wedding where Ellie performed.
At the time, a source said: “They kissed but it was fun and flirty. They spent the whole time playing up to friends and having a giggle together there. He loves her company and always says she’s a breath of fresh air.”
They were most recently spotted getting flirty at a polo match earlier this year prompting rumours that they were more than just good friends.
Ellie is currently single since splitting from Dougie Poynter in March.
