Ellie Goulding keen to take on theatre acting roles
Ellie Goulding is keen to get into acting after enjoying her experiences of it as a youngster.
However, the Starry Eyed singer doesn't want to dive straight into a blockbuster film as she'd prefer to tread the boards first.
“I acted a lot when I was young and I really enjoyed it. I loved playing different characters,” she told The Sun's Bizarre column. “It’s probably a very different kind of confidence from being on stage. But I’d like to see if I’ve still got it.

“I would probably be in a play. I’ve seen a lot of plays in the last couple of years in London and I’d like to start there.
“I don’t think it would be the right thing to just go and do a blockbuster film.”
Before leaving the University of Kent to pursue her music career, Goulding was in the final year of a degree in drama and theatre studies.
The decision paid off, and last year saw her receive an honorary degree from the university.
She's described her acting hero as Julia Davis, writer and star of Nighty Night, Hunderby and Sally4Ever, as she'd "love to be in some dark comedy".
The 33-year-old released her fourth studio album last month, Brightest Blue.
Last August saw Goulding marry art dealer Caspar Jopling in a star-studded wedding attended by Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, James Blunt, Tracey Emin, Joe Wicks and Jimmy Carr.
Although the newlyweds spent lockdown together in Oxfordshire, when restrictions began to be relaxed Goulding went to London to work.
The singer said last month that she "loved" spending time away from her spouse as it allowed her time for herself.
