Ellon crash left two people injured before driver fled the scene as police appeal for witnesses

Police have launched an appeal following a crash in Ellon which left two people in hospital after a driver fled the scene.

Officers are appealing for information following a crash on the A90 around one-and-a-half miles north of the Lintmill Brae Roundabout at approximately 6.45am on Tuesday, November 12.

A white Audi Sport reported being struck by another vehicle who left the scene prior to emergency services arriving.

The driver, a 41-year-old man, and his passenger, a 36-year-old man, were both taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash that has not already spoken with officers to get in touch, as well as those with dash cam footage that could support enquiries.

Constable Ross Hay said: "Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this crash.

"I am appealing to anyone who was on the road around that time and who may have witnessed the crash and has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.

"I would also appeal to anyone with any dashcam footage which could help our enquiries to contact us."
