“Jimmy Buffet was a unique and treasured entertainer,” Elton John wrote on his Instagram Story. “His fans adored him and he never let them down. This is the saddest of news, a lovely man gone way too soon. Condolences to Jane and the family from David and me.”
Andy Cohen remembered the Grammy winner as “the king of cool,” adding, “paradise was wherever Jimmy Buffett was.”
John Stamos shared a video of the 2018 PBS special A Capitol Fourth in which he performed alongside Buffett and The Beach Boys. “Rest well, Jimmy,” the Full House star captioned the post. “Thank you for the teaching us all to live life to the fullest. What a loss.”
“He was warm and so caring,” Brooklyn Decker, who posed alongside Buffett in the 2007 issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, wrote on Instagram. “I’m eternally grateful for the kindness he showed me early in my career. A universally adored man who so clearly treasured his family and friends. A true joy creator. Today is a heavy day. Rest in peace.”
