Emergency Crews Help Woman Trapped in 'Life Threatening' Alabama Flooding

Emergency crews worked to help a woman stranded in deep floodwaters in Hoover, Alabama, as intense rainfall brought ‘life threatening’ flash flooding to the region on October 6.

This footage, filmed by John Lyda, shows an emergency worker wading through the water towards a woman who Lyda said was on top of a submerged vehicle.

The National Weather Service warned locals to avoid travelling, saying scanners were “nonstop with calls for assistance”.
