Emergency Crews Respond to Deadly Explosion at Havana Hotel

Cuban officials said a likely gas explosion killed at least eight people and caused extensive damage to a hotel in Havana on Friday, May 6.

President Miguel Diaz-Canel was photographed near the Hotel Saratoga in central Havana as crews responded. Footage taken in the area showed the hotel largely destroyed. In a series of tweets the Cuban Presidency said that at least eight people had died and 30 were hospitalized..
