Emergency services called to reported bus fire on seafront road

FIRE crews were called to battle a reported bus fire on a major seafront road.

Pictures taken at the scene show the fire service tackling the blaze on the A259 Marine Drive in Rottingdean, at around 5pm yesterday.

The road was partly blocked while emergency services responded to the incident.

An AA traffic update said: “Rottingdean A259 Marine Drive partly blocked due to a bus fire around Greenways."

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and Sussex Police have been contacted for a comment.
