Emergency services called to scene in Basildon after woman dies suddenly
EMERGENCY services arrived at an address in Basildon on Sunday after a woman died unexpectedly.
Calls were made to the emergency services at 11.50am on Sunday morning after there were concerns for a woman, who was later pronounced dead.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, which took place in Hereford Walk.
A spokesman for Essex Police provided further details of the incident, saying: “We were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman in Hereford Walk, Basildon, at 11.50am on Thursday January 5.
We arrived alongside emergency services colleagues and found a woman had, sadly, died.
The spokesman added the death of the woman, who has not yet been named, was not suspicious.
"Her death was initially treated as unexpected and it was investigated. The public will have seen a policing presence in the area whilst that investigation was ongoing.
“We are now able to confirm there are no suspicious circumstances around the woman’s death and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
