Emergency services close off road in Stockton after two-vehicle crash

A road in Stockton was partly closed off to traffic as emergency services dealt with a crash involving two vehicles.

The incident occurred shortly before 4.30pm Tuesday on Junction Road, on the bridge just after the Railway Cottages turn-off. Police, paramedics and the fire brigade attended the scene.

A stretch of Junction Road between The Glebe and Railway Cottages was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said there were two vehicles involved in the collision but no-one suffered any serious injuries.

Three fire engines from Stockton attended the scene. A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade said they were called at 4.28pm: "Crews assisted the North East Ambulance Service and made the scene safe.," they said. "Crews had left the scene by 5.08pm."

A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on Tuesday, January 7, shortly before 4.30pm on Junction Road in Stockton. We dispatched one ambulance crew to the incident. Two patients were treated and discharged on scene."
