Emergency services race to Edinburgh incident on busy shopping street

Edinburgh paramedics raced to an incident on a busy city centre street on Thursday.

Around 12.15pm on November 28 one ambulance was spotted on Castle Street as worried shoppers watched on.

The Scottish Ambulance Service were made aware of an incident around 12pm and quickly swooped on the scene. The emergency vehicle was parked outside Victor Hugo Deli.

The exact nature of the incident is unclear at this time, however it's understood the patient did not need hospital treatment.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.04 to attend an incident on Castle Street, Edinburgh. One ambulance was dispatched to the scene.”
