Emergency services rush to airport after 12 people hurt in turbulence

Emergency services rushed to an airport after 12 people were hurt following turbulence.

The Dublin flight from Qatar is understood to have experienced turbulence over Turkey. Emergency services were called to Dublin Airport after it made a safe landing just before 1pm.

It was reported six passengers and six crew members were injured on the Qatar Airways Flight QR107, according to DublinLive. The Dublin Airport team remain at the scene.

Dublin Airport media relations manager Graeme McQueen said: "Qatar Airways flight QR107 from Doha landed safely as scheduled at Dublin Airport shortly before 13.00 on Sunday. Upon landing, the aircraft was met by emergency services, including Airport Police and our Fire and Rescue department, due to 6 passengers and 6 crew [12 total] on board reporting injuries after the aircraft experienced turbulence while airborne over Turkey.

"The Dublin Airport team continues to provide full assistance on the ground to passengers and airline staff."
