A road was closed following a crash as emergency services worked to free a person trapped in a car.

Police were called to the B1106 at 10.50am this morning (March 25) to reports of a car which had crashed into a tree.

Fire and ambulance were also on the scene near to the North Stow picnic area as the passenger of the car was trapped.

The driver was able to get out.

Five fire units from East Harling, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds and Brandon were sent.

The road was closed from the junction of London Road, Elevden and the junction with Ingham Road, Coleford and police were asking drivers to avoid the area.

The nature of any injuries is currently unknown.
