PART of a major south Essex road is closed as a coach is on its side in the road.

UPDATE: Firefighters clean up 300 litres of diesel after coach overturns on A130

The A130 has been closed due to the rolled over bus on the major road close to Rayleigh Spur roundabout, near the A127.

Essex Fire Service has confirmed two fire crews were on the scene, and nobody was trapped.

An Essex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters were called to a crash on the A130 at Benfleet at 6pm.

“On arrival, three crews reported a coach was on its side. Nobody was trapped inside and crews worked to clean up approximately 300 litres of diesel by 6.45pm.”

Traffic is building on the A130 near the scene between Sadlers Farm and Bonville's Roundabout.

Essex Police has also been contacted for comment.
