A plane overran the runway and crashed at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen International Airport on February 5, according to local media reports.
Videos shared to social media show the Pegasus Airlines aircraft split into several pieces near a roadway.
Istanbul’s governor, Ali Yerlikaya, said that 177 passengers were on board the flight and at least 21 people were injured in the crash. The airport was closed to traffic after the incident.
