EMERGENCY services rushed to help two people after a collision between a lorry and a car in a key road into Colchester city centre.

Police officers, paramedics and firefighters dealt with the emergency in Cymbeline Way, also known as the Avenue of Remembrance, shortly after 8am.

A Gazette reporter at the scene said it appeared to have involved a black Mini and a large lorry.

An Essex Police spokesman confirmed one of the motorists suffered “minor” injuries during the collision.
