Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke's Christmas rom-com is set to get an earlier release date.

The Wham!-inspired festive film, titled Last Christmas, will now be released on November 8, 2019, which is a week ahead of its original relate date of November 15.

Clarke will star alongside Crazy Rich Asians' Henry Golding, who is re-teaming with his A Simple Favour director Paul Feig for the project, which has been written by none other than actress Emma Thompson and Bryony Kimmings.

The official synopsis for the film reads: "Kate (Clarke) harrumphs around London, a bundle of bad decisions accompanied by the jangle of bells on her shoes, another irritating consequence from her job as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop.

"Tom (Golding) seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate's barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two.

"But sometimes, you gotta let the snow fall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart... and you gotta have faith."

Back in January, Golding gave us a first look at Last Christmas when he shared an image of himself and Clarke in character on Instagram.

He wrote in the post: "Mark my words, this one is going to be special... First official look at Kate and Tom from @lastchristmasthemovie. November could not come any sooner!!"
