The arrival of COVID-19 led many of us to consider ways to better look after our bodies to stay well.
But Emilia Fox has admitted taking her own heath kick a little too far at the start of the pandemic.
The actress, 47, told the Mail On Sunday's You magazine how she became "so health obsessed" it proved "unsustainable".
She said: "I became so health obsessed because of what was going on in the world [with COVID].
"I was getting up at 4.30am to do a workout. It was unsustainable."
However, Fox has now found some balance again, recently spending three months in Italy where she indulged in lots of pasta and no exercise.
In normal times when she's filming, Fox - who stars in long-running TV series Silent Witness - heads to the gym and eats the same thing every day.
This includes oats with oat milk, raspberries and agave syrup for breakfast, as well as chicken salad or miso soup and sushi for lunch.
For dinner she'll have fish or roast chicken with steamed vegetables, and snacks on dark chocolate.
Despite being in the public eye, Fox insisted she had swerved pressure to look a certain way: "I just don’t watch myself. I try not to get too hung up on it.
"If people want to judge the way you look or have opinions about it, then that’s the deal: you’re putting yourself on television."
However, she added that she would like to "really embrace" her age, and hoped to continue to not feel anxious about getting older.
The mother-of-one – who shares daughter Rose, 11, with film-maker ex-boyfriend Jeremy Gilley – rose to fame playing Mr Darcy's sister in the 1995 film version of Pride & Prejudice.
She is currently dating Jonathan Stadlen, a 43-year-old TV producer, who made an appearance on her Instagram account in September.
