I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! runner-up Emily Atack has given a heartfelt interview about her time in the jungle.

Appearing on Loose Women today (December 17), the comedy actress was speaking to the panel about being removed from technology and society for a period of time, and how she managed to cope with the drastic change in environment.

"It's been the biggest blessing," she explained. "If you ever get a chance to just plonk yourself out of the world for a bit – do it! It's so amazing. I thought I'd miss my phone, I thought I'd miss all these things... I didn't.

"I was stripped of all of these things and I was the happiest I've ever been. You don't have any of the stresses of everyday life. You just have to worry about keeping a fire going and if people are okay in themselves. We were having conversations, no-one was looking at their phones."

The Inbetweeners star also found time to reflect on the concept of beauty, revelling in the fact that she could let go of all her insecurities in the jungle.

"I felt like I went cold turkey with everything. I learnt, it's going to sound really cheesy, but you learn about other beauties. In this day and age with social media it's all about looking perfect... in there, there's just absolutely none of that.

"There's so many different kinds of beauty. Anne [Hegerty]'s mind for example, she's one of the most beautiful women I've ever met because she's so bright."

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV, while I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! returns next year.
