It's all kicking off in the world of hip-hop.

Rappers Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are still at each other's throats and now the beef with Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly keeps on sizzling.

Eminem's album, Kamikaze, which he dropped unexpectedly in August, has been coined his "diss" album after he took aim at 28-year-old rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

And, as you can expect, it didn't go down well with Kelly who responded with his own diss track.

But why are the two rap heavyweights arguing and what does Eminem's daughter, Hailie Jade, have to do with it? Here's everything you need to know:

Why do Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly have beef?

This is one feud that has been bubbling away for a while - since 2012, to be exact.

It all started when Kelly referred to Shady's daughter as "hot as f***" in a tweet, which was later deleted.

Kelly claims that his comment resulted in him being banned from certain media outlets and that Eminem called to demand he apologise for the tweet.

Who is Eminem's daughter, Hailie Jade?

Hailie Jade is Eminem's 22-year-old daughter whom he had with ex-wife Kimberly Anne Scott.

A Michigan State University graduate, she's got over one million followers on Instagram.

Even though they haven't been pictured together in years, she told the Daily Mail earlier this year that they are "very close".

When did Eminem release his diss track?

Six years later, it's clear there's still bad blood between the pair.

Earlier this year Kelly released the track No Reason with Tech N9ne, in which he subtly disses Eminem with the lyrics: "Popped in on the top charts out the cop car/To remind y'all you just rap and not God and I don't care who got bars." The lyrics are in reference to Eminem's song Rap God.

Eminem hit back with the track Not Alike on his new album, saying he shouldn't have used the feature on Tech N9ne's track to diss him. Eminem previously collaborated with Tech N9ne on The Anthem and Speedom.

How did Machine Gun Kelly respond to Eminem's diss track?

Sticking with the Rap God reference he made in No Reason, Kelly added fuel to the fire when he released Rap Devil, an inversion of Eminem's 2013 hit.

Announcing the track to his 3.4 million Instagram followers, Kelly wrote: "F*** rap GOD IM THE RAP DEVIL...good morning @eminem."

The scathing lyrics in Kelly's Rap Devil include: "Tough talk from a rapper paying millions for security a year/ I think my dad's gone crazy, yeah, Hailie, you right [...] Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss / Homie we get it, we know that you're the greatest rapper alive / F****** dweeb, all you do is read the dictionary and stay inside."

Eleven days after shots were fired from Machine Gun Kelly, we received Eminem's heated track Killshot, which takes the feud to a whole new level.

Taking no prisoners, Eminem goes after Kelly's choice of hairstyle and his career.

The lyrics include: "But how you gonna name yourself after a damn gun / And have a man bun? [...] But I'm 45 and I'm still outselling you / By 29 I had three albums that blew."

Things got even more personal when Eminem delved into Kelly's romantic life, ridiculing him for being in love with Halsey while she dates rapper G-Eazy.

Eminem also came under fire for using a homophobic slur against Tyler the Creator, lyrics the rapper has since admitted he took "too far."

Kelly is yet to hit back with another diss track but he has released a series of tweets proving he's not about to take this latest attack lying down.

In one tweet, he refers to Eminem's track as a "legshot" accompanied with toilet emojis.

How have fans responded?

Fans are already pledging their allegiance to #TeamMGK or #TeamEminem.

One Twitter user wrote: "Weak AF! I expected more from someone I used to idolise growing up. Man. Let's get real. It wasn't even something you could move to & full of weak shots at @machinegunkelly."

Eminem's fans were quick to defend him, with one taking to Twitter to write: "#TeamEminem I've love Em since preteen years. He's the rap battle God (.) The one and only Rap God (.)"
