Reality show Married At First Sight UK is back for its ninth series tonight (Monday) on E4 - and one of those set to say 'I do' to a complete stranger is sporty sales executive, Emma Barnes, 31, from Bristol.

The avid cook and sports fan will be one of 16 brand new contestants ready to be paired up with a fellow singleton on the show, with dating experts set to create eight new couples based on their compatibility.

And each of the new relationships will begin at the altar - as the eight pairs of strangers kick-start their relationships by tying the knot.

They will then move in together and live as husband and wife, taking part in weekly commitment ceremonies where they discuss their fledgling relationships with the experts, as well as the rest of the paired-off contestants.

At each commitment ceremony, the newlyweds can choose whether to stay on the show with their partner, or end their relationship and leave the show, by writing 'Stay' or 'Leave'. However, both people in the relationship must write 'Leave' in order for the couple to be allowed to leave the process.

The new series of MAFS UK begins tonight (Monday) at 9pm - and bubbly Emma Barnes is hoping to be paired up with someone who shares her sense of adventure and some of her passions for wild swimming, competing in triathlons, and climbing mountains, reports The Sun.

In an introductory video, shared on the MAFS UK Instagram page, Emma said: "I would make the perfect partner because I'm a catch.

"I love the football, I love cooking, I love having fun. I love going to the pub. I'm very kind, I'm also very loyal. My love language is definitely acts of service."

Emma is looking for a partner who is funny, bold, and loyal, and added: "My biggest dealbreaker would be me being able to walk all over my husband."

She added: "My perfect first date is going to the pub for a couple of drinks. I think my parents would love me to be with an Aston Villa fan!"

And Emma feels optimistic about appearing on MAFS, stating: "I think the experts are going to do me a solid and find me a nice match. The best thing that can come out of this is to learn loads about myself, and walk out arm in arm with my husband."

Viewers will watch relationship experts Paul C Brunson and Mel Schilling match Emma with a groom they think is perfect for her - with the upcoming ninth series of the show promising more drama than ever before.

The series will also feature a 24-year-old manufacturing engineer from nearby Somerset. You can watch all the drama unfold from 9pm tonight on E4.
