Emma Willis says Love Is Blind UK is totally ‘bonkers but addictive’
The TV presenter and her husband Matt Willis are superfans of their new dating reality show.
What did you miss?
Emma Willis has admitted she found Love Is Blind UK addictive viewing because it was just like old times working on Big Brother.
The TV presenter has added another reality show hosting role to her CV, this time alongside her Busted star husband Matt Willis, for the UK version of the Netflix dating series hit.
Describing it as "bonkers", the couple told The One Show they had become so absorbed in it from day one that they missed lunch and lost hours of their day to watching dates unfold.
What, how, and why?
Matt and Emma Willis are the hosts of Netflix's number one show, Love Is Blind UK - and the celebrity couple can certainly see the appeal to viewers as they admitted they have found it addictive too.
Busted star Matt Willis revealed his wife had found filming the show like old times when she was the host of Big Brother, and she agreed she couldn't tear herself away from watching the dates as they happened.
The show, which has had series around the world including the US, Brazil and Japan, sees singles meet on blind dates where they talk through the wall of a dating pod for up to two weeks, but never actually see the people they have been talking to until they choose one of them to get engaged to.
Couples must then spend time together in the outside world before deciding whether to go ahead with their weddings.
Talking about how compelling it was to watch even as a presenter, Matt said of his wife wanting to see the dates: "Emma more than anybody I've ever seen ever, she was so keen to get up to that gallery. It was kind of like old school Big Brother days for her, there was just a wall with screens everywhere with dates going on."
Emma agreed: "We sat down, put some headphones on, we were like yeah, we'll watch the first couple. Two hours later, missed lunch watching these people. It is addictive. You just cannot stop once you start."

She said of the show's premise: "It's bonkers, let's just put it out there - it's not your ordinary dating show."
But Matt added: "We've watched it happen, we've watched them fall in love. You think two weeks isn't very long, but they're sometimes in those pods for eight hours a day."
He admitted the first time the contestants met in person didn't always go to plan, saying: "There's some surprised looks."
Matt also spoke about being back on tour with Busted following his recent documentary Fighting Addiction about his struggles with sobriety during the height of his fame.
He said: "I've got a really good set up there, I've got good people who support me and the boys are great."
What else happened on The One Show?
The One Show also welcomed David Morrissey to talk about his new sitcom Daddy Issues, where he plays a washed-up drummer who takes in his pregnant daughter.
Asked whether there was any part of the character he could identify with, he said: "As an actor you can be treated as a child, your schedule is done for you so you have to be careful you don't fall into that."
Talking about his character's lack of responsibility, he said: "I'm not saying I connected with that, but I can sort of empathise with it a little bit."
He is also due to star in another season of BBC police drama Sherwood and said: "James Graham is one of our greatest writers. It's the same sort of territory, it's about the breakdown of community and the pressures to try to stay together."
"I think the second season is wonderful, I'm so proud to be part of it," he added.
The One Show airs on BBC One at 7pm on weekdays.
