Emma Stone 'breaks shoulder at Spice Girls reunion gig'

Emma Stone has reportedly broken her shoulder after ‘falling from a friend’s shoulders’ at a Spice Girls reunion gig.

The Oscar-winning actress, who is a self-confessed superfan of the 90s girl group, attended one of the band’s Wembley shows earlier this month.

A source told The Sun that the alleged injury could impact upon her filming schedule for Disney’s live-action prequel Cruella, in which Stone will play the iconic 101 Dalmatians villain.

“Emma relocated to the UK for the summer to throw her all into this movie - it was a great opportunity to be a classic villain,” the insider told the publication.

“But she’s a massive Spice Girls fan and got carried away at their concert and fell off a pal’s shoulders while she was partying.

“She thought it was just bruised initially, but has now discovered it’s actually broken.

“She’s gutted about such a serious injury. She needs to be in top physical condition for the role, which is active and involves running around after dogs.”

The publication added that the La La Land star has been “advised to wear a sling” and to “rest for up to two months.”

Standard Online has approached a representative for Stone for further comment.

Stone had been set to start filming Cruella in London next month. The movie will be directed by I Tonya’s Craig Gillespie, with Emma Thompson also slated to star.

Ahead of the Spice Girls show, the 30-year-old finally got to meet her childhood idol Emma Bunton.

The Baby Spice singer shared an Instagram photo of the two stars beaming as they stood in front of the Spice World stage, namechecking one of the group’s best known songs in her caption “When Emma met Emma. #2become1.”

Stone was joined at the gig by Haim sisters Danielle, Alana and Este.
