If you’ve gone bra-free and embraced life in jogging bottoms this year, you’re not alone. This year sales in lounge wear have increased, while sales of bras have decreased.

Emma Willis and Giovanna Fletcher, who were appearing on White Wine Question Time, have also embraced comfort to the max since the pandemic hit this year.

Fletcher, who’s married to McFly front man Tom Fletcher, said she’s ditched the bra, as she doesn’t want “a wire under my boobs – ever!”.

“I've got some M&S ones,” she told podcast host Kate Thornton, “that are just supportive enough so they're not down by my knees.”

Close pal Willis revealed that comfort is always key to her admitting: “I haven't done sexy since my wedding day.”

The Voice presenter then went on to admit that she always wears the same type of pants.

“Literally, my underwear drawer is 25 pairs of the same pair of pants,” she said. “Same colour, same make and it's been the same colour. You can't jump around in a G-string at the age of forty-four.”

According to Willis, her husband of 12 years Matt, isn’t missing out though.

“I mean, he doesn't know any different, which is great,” she laughed.

“I kind of feel like I met him – he was quite young, he was only 21 – so it's almost like I've raised him in captivity and just made him believe that this is the way the world is and just to enjoy it.

“Every now and then he'll see something in a magazine 'I'll be like, no, it's not real. It's not real.'”

Willis, who has set up a charity initiative with Fletcher called Be My Guest, revealed that it’s thanks to Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway – and a bit of initiative – that she got together with her rock-star husband.

“I was watching Saturday Night Takeaway and Busted were on it and Blue were on it,” the presenter told Thornton.

“I had met Matt a couple of months before and we'd all had a massive group night out and we got on really well and I thought, 'Oh, maybe I should call him?' I didn't know how to get hold of him.”

The former model, who has a clothes collection with Next, remembered she had a connection – her mate Tim Kash, who used to present MTV news.

She recalled: “I called Tim and said, 'Can you pass my number on to Simon Webbe who is on the telly at the minute and get him to give it to Matt who is on the telly with him and ask him to give me a call?’”

It took the Busted star three days to message the former model back, but the pair eventually went on a date, marrying three years later. Her advice is just to go for it.

“I don't like games, I don't like silliness,” she said. “I'm like, 'I like you, shall we get, have a drink?' You've just got to put it out there and if they say, no, they say no.”
