Former Celebrity Big Brother host Emma Willis has spoken about the strangeness of a free January now that the show has been axed.

The big-name reality show currently has no broadcasting home right now after Channel 5 ditched it last year along with the original Big Brother format, and it sounds like the presenter – who's working on The Voice UK at the moment – is feeling a bit melancholic about it all.

Chatting to The Mirror about her newfound downtime, the 42-year-old explained: "January has been weird if I'm being honest. When Big Brother finished, everybody was really sad. But I think all of us thought it would be nice to have a bit of time in January and not have New Year happen and suddenly you are back into it.

"But if I am honest I have really missed it," she continued. "It has been lovely to have an extended amount of time at home with the kids but I am someone that likes to keep busy. I miss it. I really, really do.

"It's been a funny old month, I have got a lot done at home that I wouldn't normally have, but it has been weird not having it."

Let's hope something new comes her way soon to fill the void.
