Emma Willis has admitted she has become “immensely paranoid” since becoming a mum and is even hankering after a panic room.

The former Big Brother presenter is mum to Isabelle, 11, Ace, eight, and Trixie, four, with her husband Matt Willis.

Speaking on the When No One's Watching podcast, Emma, 44, said she gets nervous about security and often checks on her children in the night.

"I think I have become immensely paranoid about safety as I've one, got older and two, had kids,” she said.

“I think I'm a bit of a control freak, so there is part of me that does enjoy it because I can go to bed at night knowing that my tick list is completed.

“But then part of me would love not to come downstairs five times when I've already put the alarm on.”

“The safety thing doesn’t stop once I go to bed because then every time I wake up in the night I go and check that the children are OK,” she added.

“I would love a panic room.

“We don't have room for one and I’d imagine they are mega bucks, and hopefully we don’t really need one but I would love one."

Emma revealed she also worries for her husband’s safety and said the Busted star has recently had to give up his motorbike.

“I don’t let him do anything,” she laughed.

“I've taken everything he finds fun out of his life and made him immensely safe to be a husband and father.”

Emma and Matt tied the knot in 2008 and celebrated their wedding anniversary earlier this month.

Sharing pictures from their big day, Emma thanked her husband for putting up with her "bossiness".

She wrote on Instagram: "Twelve years ago we tied the knot, two years ago we did it all again!

"Best 12 years of my life...

"Thank you Matt Willis for loving me and putting up with my bossiness."

Matt, 37, shared his own tribute, calling his wife a “strong powerful kind and loving woman who literally blows me away daily”.
