Emma Willis seemingly defends Angela Scanlon following awkward interview

On Friday night, Twitter went into meltdown when Angela Scanlon cut off Emma Willis mid-sentence during an interview on The One Show.

Angela was hosting the BBC show alongside Ore Oduba and viewers were left unimpressed when she cut off a personal story that Emma had started to tell about her grandad.

Em’s unimpressed reaction face soon went viral.

Asked what her favourite sweet is, Emma begun: “Well one of my all-time favourites – because my grandad always had a jar of them in his house and I would literally eat the whole bowl…” only for Angela to interrupt: “We’ll come back to that.”

Emma’s fans soon took to social media to blast Angela’s “harsh” presenting tactics, and Emma’s unimpressed reaction face soon went viral.

However, the much-loved presenter, who is due to host the BRIT Awards on Wednesday, has now taken to her own social media page to seemingly dismiss claims that she was annoyed with Ang.

Emma shared this sweet photo to her Insta account last night.

Sharing a photo of herself alongside Ore and Scanlon last night, Emma wrote: “Had such a great time on @bbctheoneshow yesterday with the brilliant @angelascanlon and @oreodubaofficial “.

And if that doesn’t tell you that Emma couldn’t care less about being cut off mid-sentence then we don’t know what will.

Angela had previously tried to brush the awkward altercation under the rug, ignoring the backlash as she shared her own selfie and showered Emma with praise, writing: “Great show with this pair of beauties.. @EmmaWillis @OreOduba

Co-host Ore also looked uncomfortable with the interruption.

“Emma eating a toffee & counting at the same time. @BRITs will be a BREEZE!!”

It looks like both Emma and Angela were keen to dismiss any prospect of a celebrity feud before it could really get off the ground.
