Billy and Dawn have faced a huge struggle over the past few months after their baby son Evan was diagnosed with leukaemia.
Evan's illness has threatened to drive a wedge between the couple, particularly after Billy put his son in danger by breaking the family's 'social bubble', which aims to protect Evan from a heightened risk of infection.
But Jay Kontzle, who plays Billy, has told Digital Spy that he has faith in Billy and Dawn's marriage, calling them "a stable unit".
"They will always stick together and pull through," he said. "They've always been given difficult hurdles to get over, but I think that their love is stronger than that."

Olivia Bromley also shared her thoughts on her character Dawn's marriage, saying that "any relationship would be put under a huge amount of strain" by having a child diagnosed with a serious illness.
"Dawn and Billy have been through so much and they've managed to get over a lot of challenges in the past, so hopefully they'll be able to get through this one as well and come together as a team, because that's what they really need," she said.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
