Yahoo News Emmerdale airs a big update on Moira Dingle
Emmerdale spoilers follow from Tuesday's episode (December 10), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale's Moira Dingle has received an important update on her health in the show's latest episode.
Moira shared the news with her son Matty Barton after being badly let down by her husband Cain.
Cain had promised to be at Moira's side when she received her pathology results at the hospital, following the recent operation to remove her brain tumour.
Despite this, Cain ended up spending the night away from the village on the eve of the appointment. He's currently acting strangely because his guilt over sleeping with his sister-in-law Ruby is becoming too much to bear.

After not hearing from Cain all night, Moira headed to the hospital with Matty instead. She ultimately sent her son away as she was confident that Cain would still turn up.
As Cain buried his head in the sand by working at the garage as normal, his best friend Liam Cavanagh stepped in with some much-needed home truths. Following Liam's advice, Cain made a last-ditch effort to be there for Moira after all.
Sadly, the bad boy quickly landed himself in trouble with the police due to his erratic behaviour on the journey to the hospital.
After being pulled over for damaging Jai Sharma's car and driving dangerously close to the speed limit, Cain turned aggressive and he ended up being arrested by PC Swirling.

Later, a remorseful Cain phoned Moira from his cell at the police station. She berated him for not supporting her, but 'confirmed' that her results were fine.
In a private chat with Matty, however, Moira revealed that she'd just lied to her husband.
Moira admitted: "I don't know why I told him that. They want me to have radiotherapy. They said it's my decision – what kind of decision is that?
"After everything I've been through, they think it could come back."
Matty was visibly emotional over the news, as he and Moira both broke down together. Will Moira tell Cain the truth when he returns home?
