Emmerdale has waved goodbye to Chas Dingle and Liv Flaherty, with both characters taking breaks from the soap.
Chas and Liv's final scenes for a while aired in Friday night's episode (March 31), as they headed off to Mauritius following a shocking phone call.
As first revealed in spoilers last week, Liv's mother Sandra has suffered a serious accident overseas and Liv needed someone to accompany her as she rushed off to see her mum.
This story has been written in as Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas, has taken maternity leave following the happy news that she's pregnant with twins.
Young actress Isobel Steele, who plays Liv, also needs some time out as she's doing her GCSEs this year.
Before Chas left to travel abroad, Moira Dingle made a last-ditch attempt to get The Woolpack's landlady on good terms with her mum, revealing how Faith had undergone a double mastectomy after a secret battle with cancer.
Sadly, when Chas made the first move towards reconciliation, Faith stubbornly refused to accept the olive branch and they parted on frosty terms yet again.
Chas did consider paying one last trip to Faith before she left, but she changed her mind after being hurried along by Liv.
Chas did, however, find time for a final warning to Robert, repeating her threats to tell Aaron all about his cheating if he messes up again...
Speaking recently, Lucy confirmed that her maternity leave will only last for a few months.
Lucy and her partner Rudi Coleano, who already have an 11-year-old daughter called Lola, are expecting twin girls. The popular actress has previously confirmed that she plans to induce delivery by mid-April.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
