Emmerdale airs new John Sugden mystery
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has introduced a new John Sugden mystery.
The newcomer has caused trouble since his arrival on-screen last week, having instigated a feud with Mackenzie Boyd and spurned Aaron Dingle following their roadside hook-up.
Aaron and John had a passionate encounter, only for the newcomer to speed away in his van with Aaron's keys and wallet.
This caused some big trouble for Aaron, since Mack had let him borrow Eric Pollard's car for the hook-up while they were supposed to be fixing it. Aaron subsequently learned that John is the half-brother of his former love Robert Sugden.
Tuesday's (August 13) episode saw Mackenzie plotting to run John out of the village, going so far as to try to physically fight him.

Mack was furious when Cain intervened to split the two men up, only to then reveal that he'd given John a job at the farm!
Over at the Woolpack, Aaron maintained that he "couldn't care less" that John was staying in the village when quizzed by mum Chas.
"I wish I'd never laid eyes on him," Aaron insisted. "If I knew he was Robert's brother, I'd never have gone there."
While Mack and Aaron were smarting over the news John would be staying in the village, Victoria relished the chance to get to know her relative.
Victoria surprised John at the barn to encourage him to "stop and stand still for a little while", as she felt he might enjoy life in Emmerdale.
The soap then teased a brand new mystery when Victoria innocently returned a box to John that she'd found in Harry's room.

"I didn't open it. It didn't seem right," Victoria explained.
John snatched the box away before it was revealed that there were army dog tags inside inscribed with the name "Aidan Moore".
"I don't want to talk about that time in my life," John insisted. "It's over."
Who is Aidan Moore?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
