Emmerdale airs tense gun drama for Ross Barton

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale aired some tense scenes for Ross Barton as he carelessly fired a gun in the barn.

Ross returned to the Dales earlier this week (October 28) as he was surprisingly revealed as Billy Fletcher’s opponent in an underground boxing fight, marking his first appearance on the show in six years.

Friday’s (November 1) episode began with Ross heading to work – albeit late – as Mack shared that they caught wind of a disturbance at the barn, with the pair having a frosty conversation before Ross received a phone call.

Charity later arrived to tell Mack that she needed him to take care of Moses for a couple of hours, though he reacted badly after she suggested her son spend some time with his father. Despite being busy with work, Mack agreed to take care of Moses.

Meanwhile, Ross, who was on edge following his previous run-in with the ruthless promoters of his boxing bouts, had a moment of panic as he investigated the barn. After hearing footsteps above him, he fired a warning shot into the roof.

He was stunned to find that his son Moses was the one lurking above, with Mack lambasting Ross for endangering the safety of Moses. Ross reiterated that Charity would want Moses to spend time with him, though Mack took the boy back to his mother as he ignored Ross’ words.

Mack informed Charity of the situation, expressing his opinion that Ross was a bad father and setting a poor example to Moses. Charity agreed that Ross had some work to do.

Despite trying to justify his actions, Charity had some harsh words for Ross as she explained that he needed to grow up. Ross eventually changed the subject by implying that there was still an attraction between himself and Charity – could it be true?...

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
