Emmerdale airs turning point for Tracy in emotional episode

Emmerdale aired an emotional double-bill for Tracy Metcalfe tonight (August 31), who's finally found the help she needs in her post-natal depression battle.

The action began with Nate Robinson was left bemused by discovering that his beloved Tracy couldn't have been at Priya Kotecha's place the night before, despite being told so.

After some frantic head-scratching, it was Faith Dingle who came to the rescue in the end and located Tracy: she was in search of her dad's special tree out in the fields.

Bringing a picnic to the scene – fizzy water and 'soggy butties' from Eric Pollard's car – Faith was then informed of Tracy's delusions as she bounced between feelings of severe paranoia and calm.

Convincing her that she needed some professional post-natal assistance, Faith brought Tracy back to the village.

Seeing a specialist, the first-time mum later opened up about how difficult she's found the last few months and, more specifically, continually living in fear that something awful's going to happen to baby Frankie.

Unable to resist earwigging, Nate then overheard a particularly disturbing moment where Tracy spoke of how she once thought it'd be better if both she and their child weren't around anymore.

He didn't cope well with this, leaving yet another question mark hanging over their future together.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
