Emmerdale schemer Tom Waterhouse has some serious explaining to do tonight (January 3) as he deals with the aftermath of being caught out by Debbie Dingle.
Tom (Ned Porteous) was finally rumbled in yesterday's hour-long special, as Debbie discovered that he's the mastermind behind the proposed golf course development in the village, which is threatening Zak and Lisa's home.
Debbie (Charley Webb) only uncovered the truth when Tom tricked her into signing off on the deal as a witness, on her first day of working with him at the office.
The feisty Dingle was so furious over her discovery that she stormed straight out of her new workplace, making it clear that she wouldn't be back.
In tonight's Emmerdale episode, Tom pays a visit to Debbie at home and desperately tries to fob her off with excuses.
Emmerdale first previewed these scenes in an exclusive video on Facebook yesterday, showing that Debbie won't be in a forgiving mood.
Debbie tells Tom: "Now I know you're a massive liar. You have watched my family in bits over this, you've pretended to feel sorry for them."
When Tom tells Debbie that she doesn't know the full story, she replies: "Well I'm going to tell you how it ends. You're going to walk out that door and I'm going to pretend that I never met you."
Emmerdale's producer Iain MacLeod has also teased: "This week is a big, big chapter for Tom and Debbie. We've seen how in love with him she is, so this week, it's going to be full of surprises, full of twists, full of turns."
Emmerdale airs tonight (January 3) at 7pm on ITV.
