Emmerdale character's love-life hampered by a family member's threat to leave the village
Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins has revealed whether love will be on the cards for her character Victoria Sugden.
The 30-year-old acting star has grown up on the ITV soap having joined Emmerdale back in 2006. Since then, Victoria has been involved in a number of big storylines and some (ultimately doomed) romances.
The character is currently single and during a recent Emmerdale virtual press conference, Isabel, was quizzed on what the future holds for her character. Isabel said: “I’m not sure for right now. I think her priorities would be her family.
“So, obviously I'd love for her to be happy and settled. We’ll just have to see if and when that happens.”
As Emmerdale viewers know, Victoria currently has her hands full with the arrival in the village of long-lost half-brother John Sugden - played by Oliver Farnworth. It is fair to say John hasn’t been too interested in the Sugden legacy.

Isbael explained: “She’s doing everything she can. She’s trying to get him involved in her child’s life, she’s offering him a place to stay and so the fact that he’s not returning that, in any way shape or form, is disappointing her.”
Fans know that John isn’t too interested in staying in the village long-term. This is much to Victoria’s frustration.
“I just think it is constant frustration that she’s not really getting anywhere with him,” Isabel said. “Ultimately, she wants to get to know him and she’d love for him to open up to her. I just think it is blow after blow.”
