'Emmerdale' hit with complaints over murderous Meena storyline
Emmerdale has been hit with complaints over killer Meena’s murderous storyline.
Twisted Meena (Paige Sandhu) has wreaked havoc in the Dales, killing characters such as Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger) and Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) during her evil rampage.
Most viewers have been gripped by the chilling plot, but some of the scenes have sparked complaints to Ofcom.

The broadcasting watchdog said it had received 65 complaints about the episode of the ITV soap broadcast on 12 January.
Ofcom confirmed to Yahoo that the complaints related to the ongoing Meena storyline.
Plenty of fans of the soap have said on social media that they would like to see some lighter material.
“It's too much full stop,” one person tweeted. “Sadly there's too many murders in real life and the news is full of it every day. Move on fast from everything ‘murder’ and give us happy storylines.”
“Emmerdale please make this awful Meena story end NOW and sack all your story writers,” said another.
One fed up fan posted: “Really writers can we please have some happy storylines, maybe a little bit of comedic input.”
Another said: “I won't watch again until the dreadful meaner Meena saga concludes and the soap gets happier. Too depressing. We need more fluffy fun.”
However, others said the dramatic plot has been brilliant and that the soap will be “boring” without the character.

“@emmerdale has been so exciting (but scary) this past couple of weeks, mainly because of Meena,” said one.
Another tweeted: “I wanna keep Meena the murderer on Emmerdale, she’s bloody brilliant.”
